Welcome to WordQuest challenge!
Please make sure you understand what you need to do.
Step 1:
Each day you’ll get an email with a word definition/ explanation.
The word is in the list of 2000 most common words, so all of them will be quite common, though it’s not necessarily going to be the first (obvious) meaning.
You read the email and try to figure out the word.
You can use any online tools you want.
(You can look at the example task here)
Step 2:
You reply to me with your answer before 1 pm each day
Step 3:
I’ll confirm if you guessed the word or not.
If your guess was wrong, you can try tomorrow, with a new word.
If you guessed correctly, you continue your quest 😉
Step 4:
You’ll need to post a question with this word (in this meaning) publicly on social media:
- Twitter (preferable)
The question should meaningful and correct.
Bad example:
What do you handle?
Can you handle it?
(because I have no idea what you are asking me)
Good example:
Have you ever had a situation when you couldn’t handle your emotions?/your child?
The main thing here:
In your post/story/tweet, you need to tag 2 people: me and the person you’re asking.
If you don’t do this, I will not know if you posted or not, and who replied.
(Check for detailed instructions with screenshots below)
You can tag another language learner or any other person who understands English.

I recommend using the hashtag #WordQuestSeptember – if all participants do that, you will be able to quickly find each other and ask questions to each other.
